CMRB Discussion Moved in Camera
Council decided to move in-camera for a discussion on a communications plan to address the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board (CMRB). Councillor Boehlke brought the motion forward to consider releasing a communications plan to inform residents about the work at the CMRB and the subsequent impact the proposed growth plan would have on Rocky View County, should it be implemented. Citing potential harm to intermunicipal relations, Council decided to take the discussion in camera. The CMRB is steaming ahead in developing a growth plan for the region which it is scheduled to hand over to the province on June 1st. The rural municipalities have been unanimous in their concern with this Board. As always, we will keep you posted on any further developments.
